Clinical Tools
Interactive surgical planning and decision support for Mohs micrographic surgery. Evidence-based tools for every step of the case.
Which Tool Should I Use?
Starting a new case? → Begin with the Surgical Planning Wizard. It walks you through the entire workflow step by step.
Need to assess risk? → Use NCCN Risk Stratification to classify your BCC or SCC as low or high risk.
Is Mohs appropriate? → The AUC Evaluator scores cases using the 2012 AAD/ACMS Appropriate Use Criteria.
Planning reconstruction? → The Reconstruction Planner ranks options by defect size, depth, and anatomical subunit.
Estimating stages? → The Stages Predictor estimates the number of Mohs layers based on tumor features.
Calculating dimensions? → The Defect Calculator computes excision geometry and ellipse design.
Staging a tumor? → Scoring Calculators include BWH, AJCC, and NCCN risk classification.
OptiMohs Wizard
Guided, step-by-step case analysis that integrates risk assessment, stage prediction, and reconstruction planning into a single workflow. Enter tumor characteristics and receive a complete surgical plan.
Risk Stratification
Classifies BCC and SCC into high- and low-risk tiers using NCCN v1.2026 criteria. Evaluates tumor size, location, subtype, perineural invasion, recurrence status, and immunosuppression to determine Mohs indication and workup recommendations.
Stages Predictor
Predicts the expected number of Mohs stages using a weighted algorithm based on tumor type, anatomical location, size, subtype, and high-risk features. Displays probability distributions and confidence levels for surgical planning.
Reconstruction Planner
Generates ranked reconstruction options based on defect size, depth, and anatomical subunit. Each option includes complexity rating, estimated operative time, suitability score, and pros/cons analysis.
Defect Calculator
Calculates excision dimensions, defect area (cm²), and optimal fusiform (elliptical) design parameters including length-to-width ratio. Includes visual SVG diagram of the planned excision.
Mohs AUC
Implements the 2012 Appropriate Use Criteria for Mohs Micrographic Surgery. Scores cases 1–9 based on tumor type, anatomical area, size, and clinical features to determine appropriateness of Mohs.
Scoring Systems
Multi-system reference calculator covering BWH T-staging for cSCC, AJCC 8th edition staging, Breslow depth / Clark level for melanoma, and NCCN-based BCC risk classification.
